SACHA (Southport African Caribbean Heritage Association) are looking for members of the Windrush generation and their families, with a connection to Liverpool City Region, to get involved in creating a digital archive to preserve the stories of this community. They are looking to take audio recordings and/or photographs to be used as part of an upcoming exhibition at The Atkinson in September. They are also looking to borrow tangible artefacts to display.
The Windrush’s arrival has become symbolic of the generation of Commonwealth citizens who came to live in Britain between 1948 and 1971.
