Southport & District Beekeepers is one of the eight branches that make up the Lancashire & North West Beekeepers Association, part of the British Beekeeping Association, we are a friendly and supportive group whose main objective is to promote and further the craft of beekeeping. Membership of the club also provides BBKA membership with a monthly beekeeping magazine and insurance.
Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month where members have the opportunity to attend talks and demonstrations, as well as to discuss all things bees!
The club has its own apiary within Hesketh Park in Southport, enabling experienced beekeepers to offer practical training sessions to members. The apiary is a great asset to the club and also a fantastic venue for social get-togethers and meetings. The main event of the year for Southport Beekeepers is the honey show which is held in the Bee & Honey Marquee at the famous Southport Flower Show in August.
