What would it take to make a Victorian laugh? Join researchers from Edge Hill University as they reveal the forgotten history of nineteenth-century humour.
Activities include family-friendly workshops on Victorian joke-writing, tours of the ‘We Are Not Amused!’ exhibition, and training to become ‘Joke Detectives.’ In the evening, Greg Jenner (Horrible Histories) will appear in-conversation, and Iszi Lawrence (Radio 4’s Making History) will host a live comedy performance.
