Tantalising Thuile: This is Wind Quintet with pianist John Gough
Ludwig Thuille (1861 – 1907) an Austrian composer, well known for operatic writing but also a prolific composer of chamber music. His Sextet is one of the most beautiful compositions for piano and winds. Dell’Arte wind players are joined by John Gough.
The Atkinson is working in partnership with L’Orchestra dell’ Arte to bring high quality, accessible classical music to Southport.
‘Cake & Classical Music’ takes place on the first Monday of each month, with a different ensembles, individuals and musicians performing 45 minute, lunchtime concerts. Ticket price includes a hot drink and a piece of cake.
Refreshments served from 12:30pm.
Performance starts at 1pm.
