Talk by Dr Patrick Wright
Focusing on the Sefton’s Coast as an example of a coastal edgeland within the wider context of the North-West coast. We draw reference to how this space and others like it have been represented in art and literature, such as seascapes (e.g., by L.S. Lowry and Turner) and in writings of poets such as Jean Sprackland (e.g., Strands) and Michael Symmons Roberts (e.g., Edgelands).
