A Leap of Faith; From Mythology to Christianity

During the 8th to 11th centuries, the Viking world of North West Europe underwent a huge change.

It was a change of faith away from a deep seated belief in Norse Mythology and towards Christianity. This transition took place in the Viking nations of Norway, Denmark and Sweden and here in Britain, too.  How did this happen and why?

In this online talk Kirsten Nielson Welch will be looking at recent evidence to understand this shift in belief.
