Solar Jazz visit us in The Atkinson’s Foyer to perform their distinctive brand of spirited easy-listening music – mixing original lounge, Latin, ballad and swing compositions with classic chilled jazz café arrangements.
Classically trained and holding repertoires which include solo concertos, orchestral music, contemporary choral genres and French art songs, Alexandra Walton (tenor and alto sax) and Nigel Reeve (split piano/bass) have played jazz for many years and are delighted to be able to offer a wide-ranging programme of old and new music.
Solar Jazz will be performing ‘live’ jazz in the foyer in two sessions, from 11:45am to 12:25pm and again from 12:40 to 1:20pm.
