This historic structure has been at the heart of Southport for nearly 120 years and research has shown that Wayfarers has a highly fascinating and interesting history.
As ever the most captivating facts are always about people and this exhibition proves quite just how much time and in particular retailing has changed since the 19th century. Over the past 120 years’ numerous people have managed and worked in Wayfarers or for one of the many tenants and some of the stories and information which is relayed in the exhibition are fascinating.
The exhibition will direct the visitor around story boards which will include a video and never before seen pictures together with some historic costumes on loan from The Atkinson.
