On Saturday 29 March, The Atkinson brings the very best children’s theatre for its youngest audiences to Southport.
Circles in the Sand is an intimate, imaginative and captivating play for under 3s, exploring sand in new and exciting ways.
A story without words framed by an evocative soundscape using rhythms and music drawn from the around the world. Join us in a world of play with buckets and castle building, spinning and tumbling, delighting in the feel of the sand as it trickles between toes and fingers.

The 0-3 age group activities and events give babies and their parents the chance to play and be enchanted by the sounds around them, helping them to communicate, engage, explore and create together.”
Created by award-winning theatre director Sarah Argent and performed by the enchanting actor Marleen Vermeulen, Circles in the Sand offers audiences at the end of the performance a hands-on encounter as the children are invited to come onto the performance area for an interactive free play session to explore, discover and play in the sand for themselves with the buckets that feature in the production.

Circles in the Sand is showing at The Atkinson at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. The play is 25 minutes with an interactive play session to follow.
