Update – Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Following official government advice regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), The Atkinson is closed to the public until further notice. This includes the Box Office, Theatre, Studio, Museum, Galleries, Shop, Library and A Great Little Place cafe.

The Atkinson’s Box Office team are currently working to contact customers who have booked tickets for cancelled, postponed and rescheduled performances. Working in chronological order of effected performances, the team endeavour to contact all customers as swiftly as possible.

Customers are entitled to a refund, exchange, credit note, or can donate the ticket price to The Atkinson Development Trust. Some tickets for cancelled shows may have been automatically refunded by our ticket agent. Booking fees are non-refundable.

You can view some of our exhibitions online:
Sefton Open Digital Exhibition
The Triumph of Art
Sefton Young Artist of the Year (deadline for entries 10 May)

Keep an eye on our news page for ways to get involved with our online activities, from browsing our fine art collection, to talking part in our LEGO challenge, even piecing together digital jigsaws.

The Atkinson Development Trust is the charitable arm of The Atkinson. Your generous donations support their essential work, which includes working with young people, communities and families to enrich their lives and engage with society. Without your donations, work with vulnerable, isolated groups could not continue – so thank you for your continued support. Donate.

For further information on Southport Library please visit the Sefton Libraries website.

The Atkinson takes the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff seriously, and we are closely following advice from the government and Sefton Council.

We hope all of our customers and community keep well, and look forward to welcoming you back once it is safe to resume our programme.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this uncertain time.
