Indulge your interest with free access to our regular programme of talks and special briefings on new exhibitions. Normally closed to the public, our team briefings are a unique opportunity to hear directly from the artist or curator as they explain the ideas behind their work before the exhibition opens.

We have fascinating store rooms that are full of items not on display. From the costume store to the pottery shelves, the contemporary sculpture to the historic paintings, a behind-the-scenes tour gives a memorable view of museum and gallery which few visitors see.

Your support enables us reach out to people in our borough who are risk of isolation or less privileged. All income from Membership – and every additional pound you give as a donation – goes directly to The Atkinson Development Trust, who work to welcome the widest possible community, and help us to conserve art for future generations to enjoy.
