Suhail Shaikh: Paper My Wishes

The latest exhibition to open at The Atkinson is a retrospective of Suhail Shaikh’s multidimensional paper artworks. Central to the exhibition is a true to scale sculpture of the front section of a Lancaster Bomber titled ‘The Many’. The cardboard structure is covered in military ephemera donated by veterans and their families, and rests on a bed of poppies created by the local community.

The exhibition launch on Friday 24 November 2023 was attended by guest of honour Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Mr Robert Owen JP DL and his wife Patti, and individuals who have been instrumental in supporting the exhibition.
