Bringing children to an event

For all our children’s shows, children aged 12 months and under can sit on their parents or guardians lap for free, for children aged over 12 months usual ticket prices will apply and a seat will be allocated. The Atkinson retains the right to exclude babies in arms for any performance.

Drinking water is available at any time during the performances and younger children can see a show with an older sibling as long as the parent is present. Please note: Only food bought on the premises through  The Atkinson or A Great Little Place can be consumed on the premises. We appreciate your understanding.

Although we do not have a specific buggy park, the staff are here to help you find somewhere safe for your equipment. Just ask one of our helpful team.

We have baby changing facilities on the ground and first floor within our disabled toilets.

We are a breastfeeding friendly venue.

Relaxed Performances

These events are for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment in our Theatre and Studio. Feel free to move around, make noise and leave and re-enter as necessary. These performances are great for those living with dementia, families with younger siblings or who have Autism Spectrum Condition or a learning disability. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our surroundings so please let us know if you have any specific questions about events. Don’t forget, we also have ear defenders that you can borrow free of charge.

Drunken Policy

We want you to have a  good time when you are here watching a band or enjoying a show. However, we ask that you are mindful of others and remember we are unable to serve openly drunk patrons. If you are inebriated and are causing others distress or making too much noise  you will be asked to leave.  We hope this does not happen as we want everyone to have a great time with us!

Latecomers

Latecomers may be refused admission to events, unless there is a suitable break in the performance.

Photography

It is The Atkinson’s policy not to allow photography and sound/filming during our events.
