Bringing children to an event

Drinking water is available at any time during the performances and younger children can see a show with an older sibling as long as the parent is present. Please note: Only food bought on the premises through  The Atkinson or A Great Little Place can be consumed on the premises. We appreciate your understanding.

Although we do not have a specific buggy park, the staff are here to help you find somewhere safe for your equipment. Just ask one of our helpful team.

We have baby changing facilities on the ground and first floor within our disabled toilets.

We are a breastfeeding friendly venue.

Hearing Loss Assistance

Both Atkinson’s theatre spaces are equipped with an infra-red hard of hearing system. Patrons will need one of two receivers that we have in order to access the system fully. Patrons with a ‘T’ position equipped hearing aid can use the individual loop device receiver (EKI 830). Hard of hearing patrons can use the ear bows receiver (HDI 830). Please note this device is NOT suitable for patrons who have pacemakers or implanted defibrillators due to the magnetic field generated by the ear bows. Devices, with instruction sheets are available to loan for Atkinson shows. Please ask at Box Office staff or a member of the Front of House team if you wish to use either receiver. When booking seats, it is important to note that the infra-red emitters work from row E upwards in the theatre auditorium. There is no charge for the use of these devices.

Drunken Policy

We want you to have a  good time when you are here watching a band or enjoying a show. However, we ask that you are mindful of others and remember we are unable to serve openly drunk patrons. If you are inebriated and are causing others distress or making too much noise  you will be asked to leave.  We hope this does not happen as we want everyone to have a great time with us!

Latecomers

Latecomers may be refused admission to events, unless there is a suitable break in the performance.

Photography

It is The Atkinson’s policy not to allow photography and sound/filming during our events.
