On the first Saturday of every month Evolution Comedy Club present a side-splitting night of laughter. Expect to see the finest comedians on the circuit and a different host at every show. (Due to unforeseen circumstances, September’s event takes place on the third Saturday of the month)
This month features Big Lou, Phil Chapman, Adam Staunton and Mike Wilkinson.
Join us at The Atkinson for a guaranteed laugh and brilliant atmosphere.
Doors open at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8pm. Age 18+.
Host – Big Lou
Manchester based Big Lou, is a well known face on the comedy scene who has a commanding stage presence matched by his punchlines and timing of their delivery.
Big Lou has played most of the premier comedy venues in the North West and beyond.

Phil Chapman
Phil is an exciting act on the UK comedy circuit. He is also a talented Host & Compère and presenter and a gifted voice over artist.
Phil’s happy-go-lucky style and mischievous on-stage persona, delights audiences far and wide.
Phil began performing comedy in 2006 and after establishing himself on the local circuit, he began travelling further afield and is now a regular compère as headlining at a number of independent comedy nights.
Adam Staunton
A confident and demanding stage presence has seen scouse funnyman Adam Staunton perform alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, including John Bishop and Sarah Millican.

Mike Wilkinson
Mike started his career by reaching the finals of the So You Think You’re Funny new act competition in 2000 and being a finalist of the City Life Comedian of the Year for North West acts the following year.
Now he’s a regular on the circuit and has supported such comedy greats as Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, Ross Noble, Dave Spikey and Jason Manford on their UK tours.
Overflowing with down to earth Northern charm, Mike has a wonderful laid-back style. The laughs come thick and fast with Wilkinson’s dry humour and razor sharp wit…but hecklers beware, that cheeky grin can lash out and crush a heckler at lightening speed.
As well as being very funny, Mike is also a talented musician and plays the piano and guitar.
Mike has performed on several TV and radio shows including Gagging For It (Granada), Live From the Albert Dock (Mersey TV) and Running Late (BBC).
When he’s not killing it on the comedy scene, he can be found working on his farm rearing his own hens, and often brings a gift of a few fresh eggs to the show.

Clubstyle Seating
Evolution Comedy Club takes place in the studio with a clubstyle layout. If you purchase lower level seating, tables and chairs are available on a first come first serve basis. If you purchase balcony seating, you will be assigned a seat number for the show.
Bar
The bar opens at 7:30pm, half an hour before the show begins, and will remain open until the show finishes. A great selection of refreshments and pub snacks are on offer.

For this event, photography without flash is allowed. Recording is not allowed.
Line-up
Line-ups are correct at time of purchase but may be subject to change. No refunds will be offered for changes to the line-up. Customers will not be notified of any changes to the line-up.
