Rhiannon Scutt

We are delighted to welcome back to Grateful Fred’s Sheffield-based singer-songwriter Rhiannon Scutt who first played for us in December 2021. In fact, Rhiannon was the first headliner at Grateful Fred’s after the pandemic and that night she wowed the Fredheads with her exciting guitar playing and unique songs. It is a testament to Rhiannon’s busy gig schedule that the first opportunity we had to bring her back to Grateful Fred’s was over 12 months later.

Influenced by Ani DiFranco’s percussive guitar style and Lindsey Buckingham’s rapid fingerpicking, Rhiannon’s unique guitar technique has often garnered attention. With her charismatic stage presence and emotive lyrics, she has stood alone as a captivating performer without the need of supportinginstrumentation. But either solo or with her band Rhiannon is a captivating performer.

Those of you who were there in September 2021 will remember how blown away we were with Rhiannon’s playing on her white Stratocaster. If you didn’t see her then, this is your opportunity to see one of the UK’s most exciting singer-songwriters in concert.

“Phenomenal guitar work” Andy Kershaw

“A great songwriter, an excellent and intelligent performer, a top class singer and musician” Kit Bailey, BBC R2 Folk Awards
