Egyptian gods and goddesses were often depicted with a combination of human and animal features. This day school will explore how their iconography reflected their nature and their roles in the Egyptian pantheon. The myths underpinning these representations will also be examined.

There will be a strong focus upon artefacts in the Goodison collection currently on display in  Discover Ancient Egypt.

This course is run by Jo Backhouse who is  a PHD student at Liverpool University, studying Egyptology.
