Hello and welcome to The Atkinson’s exciting programme for families, cultural tourists and art enthusiasts alike.

We’ve got the Summer Holiday’s sorted! Come dressed as your favourite character to our Alice in Wonderland Family Fun Day (6 Jul).  Follow Timothy Pope and his telescope on 3 exciting adventures in Nick Sharratt’s Shark in the Park (20 Jul). Don’t miss the tea-guzzling tiger in a stage adaptation of the classic tale of teatime mayhem in The Tiger Who Came To Tea (20-21 Aug).

Join in the laughs with Mark Watson: The Infinite Show (4 Jul), the comedian and author’s new stand-up show is filled with his notoriously high rate of jokes and rants. Gary Meikle: Eyebrow Guy (26 Sep) is back with a bang after racking up 100million+ views ranting about his daughter’s eyebrows!

We are bringing back the blues with Catfish (31 Aug), The Connie Lush Band (14 Sep) and Chantel McGregor (28 Sep). We strongly recommend getting your tickets early for these guys!

Southport Film Guild‘s new season of 12 blockbuster and art-house films kicks off in September with Green Book (12A) (4 Sep). Become a SFG Member and enjoy a first-class cinema experience as well as ticket offers and invitations to private views.

Better than the real deal? Don’t miss the opportunity to see our world-class selection of tribute artists including Freedom’19: George Michael Tribute Concert (6 Jul), A Celebration of Cilla Black & The Beatles (13 Jul), The Dolly Parton Story (7 Sep) and On Tour with Elvis (21 Sep).

New to the exhibitions programme, multimedia project SIXTEEN (2 Aug – 22 Sep) explores the hopes and fears of today’s sixteen year olds. Nahem Shoa: Black Presence (21 Sep – 23 Nov) creates the opportunity to review how successfully museum collections reflect our culturally diverse society.

The shop presents two Local Makers Craft Fair’s (6 Jul & 31 Aug) where you can meet local artists and find what inspires them to create whilst picking up unique, handmade items.

Our award-winning café A Great Little Place presents a summer Wine Tasting (13 Jul) event and is offering a delicious pre-show meal ahead of Jive Talkin’ Perform the Bee Gees (27 Sep).
